RainRain Web Design Kilkenny is a freelance web design and web development business set up in 2007 by Bob Murphy. Operations are based in Kilkenny, Ireland. Bob has been active as a website designer since 1999 and has experience across a broad spectrum of web technologies and languages as well as graphic design, marketing advice and copywriting.

With the recent arrival of the so called "Web 2.0", the focus has been to build websites which benefit both the owners, due to the ease with which changes can be made; and also the site's audience, by encouraging the construction of more interactive websites. The primary systems used for website design and development are the "Wordpress" and "Joomla" systems which are free open source platforms with widespread available support.

The design goal is always to create a quality website at the lowest possible cost which will impove the realationship between a business and it's customers with the ultimate goal of increasing business. To that end the websites are always designed to be clear, concise and to work properly across a broad range of systems including the latest cellphone browsers. From a visual perspective the goal is to create or re-create the client's image on the web with an emphasis on well chosen photography, typography and suitable colours.
