Changing your home page (Internet Explorer)
When you click on Internet Explorer and connect to go the net, you will arrive at a specific page. This page is known as your 'home page'. It is beneficial to set your home page to something that is in some way relevant to you, like a search engine you regularly use, or your email page; however you can set it to any page you like, including anything on the internet or even blank if you prefer!
  1. Open Internet Explorer (if you have accounts set up in XP then you may need to be in an administrator account)
  2. Navigate/browse to the page that you want to set your home page to.
  3. From the menu bar choose Tools -> Internet options.
  4. When the options dialog box opens click the general tab.
  5. The first section is the home page section click set current (your home page is now set to the page you are currently at)
  6. Shut down Internet Explorer and start it again it should open on your new home page.

N.B. You can also go to your home page anytime you like while browsing just by clicking the home button located on the toolbar at the top.
