Removing Windows Messenger from the system tray |
Problem : You dont use windows messenger so you shut it down from the system tray but it appears again after you restart. Solution : - Right click on windows messenger in the taskbar and select Open
- In the windows messenger main window which opens up, select 'Options' from the 'Tools' menu
- On the Preferences tab, clear the Run Windows Messenger when Windows starts check box.
- Click 'Ok', close messenger and restart the computer to see that messenger no longer loads at startup.
If needs be then you can at any time start messenger from the start menu
